Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Jottey is an AI copilot that helps you during live sales calls. Because it listens to your conversations, we take how we handle that data seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

The short version

Your meeting audio is captured locally on your Mac — no bot joins your calls. To transcribe and coach, audio and transcripts are sent to our processors (Recall.ai and OpenAI) and are not used to train their public models. We keep what's needed to run your account and show your scorecards, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

1. Who we are

Jottey (the “Service,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is the AI sales copilot described here. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at eliotb26@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We request only basic sign-in scopes — we do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or contacts.

Meeting audio and transcripts

When you start recording on a call, Jottey captures the meeting’s audio locally on your device and generates a real-time transcript. This may include the voices and words of other participants on the call. See Section 7 — your recording responsibilities.

Derived call data

From the transcript, the Service produces coaching suggestions, objective tracking, extracted deal facts (such as budget, timeline, competitors, and pain points), and a post-call scorecard (talk ratio, sentiment, action items, and coaching notes).

Configuration you provide

Details you enter to ground the coaching — your name, what you sell, and your call objectives.

Usage and billing data

We record coached minutes and related usage to operate your plan and enforce your monthly allowance. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive billing metadata (plan, status, last four digits, country) but never see or store your full card number.

Technical data

Basic diagnostic and log data (app version, operating system, error reports) needed to keep the Service running and secure.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your meeting content to advertise to you.

4. Third parties and sub-processors

We rely on a small set of vendors to run the Service. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and — for the AI providers below — do not use your content to train their general-purpose models.

ProviderPurposeData shared
Recall.aiDesktop capture SDK and real-time transcriptionMeeting audio, transcripts
OpenAICoaching, analysis, and scorecard generationTranscripts and derived call context
GoogleSign-in / authenticationName, email, profile picture
StripeSubscription billing and paymentsBilling metadata (no full card number)

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case we will notify you).

5. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. We retain your call content — recordings, transcripts, derived deal facts, and scorecards — only as long as it is useful to you:

Enterprise plans may configure custom retention.

6. Security

Meeting audio is captured and processed locally on your device rather than through a bot in the call. Data in transit to our processors is encrypted (TLS). We restrict internal access to personal data and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your recording responsibilities

Important

You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to recording and processing conversations. Many jurisdictions require the consent of some or all parties before a call may be recorded. Because Jottey is invisible to other participants, it is your responsibility to obtain any required consent.

By using the Service to capture a call, you confirm that you have the legal right and any necessary consent to record and process that conversation. See our Terms of Service for more.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email eliotb26@gmail.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You can also stop all capture at any time by not recording, or by uninstalling the app.

9. International users

We and our processors may store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact us
